Biography

Raised between Madrid and Buenos Aires, I developed an early connection to painting through the atmospheric and sensual qualities of Spanish art. Its sober, insightful character left a lasting impression—one that later became the technical and artistic foundation I developed.

Living and working in New York for twenty years deepened everything. The city taught me to trust the act of painting itself—its rhythm, its physicality, its moments that feel closer to music or dance than to deliberate construction. These qualities are at the center of my equestrian portraiture; they shape the movement, presence, and psychological depth I aim to convey. In the studio, a single gesture can carry the whole expression.

My training is rooted in the Classical repertoire and the oil tradition, yet my current work moves fluidly between Romantic and figurative languages and the freedom of Abstract Expressionist approaches.
I am currently based in Buenos Aires and maintain ongoing connections with colleagues, collectors, and collaborators in New York, London, Santa Barbara, and Berlin.

In parallel with my artistic work, I have pursued a career in maxillofacial prosthetics, a craft grounded in precision, empathy, and an intimate sense of form—qualities that continue to shape my painting. I also remain dedicated to arts education, teaching that painting is neither pure intellect nor pure impulse, but a space where method and instinct meet. A classical practice always renewed by the person who engages with it.
