"What seems like a wave in the ocean is also an impeccable mountain..."
“Greatness is rarely captured in any work – art or otherwise. But what I feel here is just that: a majestic horse, walking or galloping in a stormy ocean, carrying greatness, incredible melancholy, and peace.”

Artist Statement

As a painter, the first question I ask is: In which world do I live?

Working “from life,” I inhabit a space where painting is not about truth, but about verisimilitude, that event where reality blurs with imagination.

I deliberately blur forms, drawn to the way images emerge through memory and dream. To close or finish them would be to reduce the world to a place of heavy, concrete objects that lead only back to themselves.

I paint “from life” not to appropriate or reproduce objects and so transmit them, but to experience reality as a shifting horizon , one that invites continual movement, perception and discovery.
